Today was very, very warm.
So warm that I managed to convince the Old Trout to go for a swim.
She didn’t need much convincing. She’s been itching to go in ever since we arrived.
I had a lovely time lying down and flattening the grass beside a pair of common spotted orchids nearby, in order to take some snaps. And then I got to work on completing the exercise for Day 18 of Juneathon.
It was all going swimmingly: I’d completed one loop and back of the lagoon, and then I’d headed out into the estuary as the tide came in. And then the swans returned. 😦
It’s like they own the place!
I was forced back, up the inlet to do short laps whilst they prowled around at the further reaches of the marshes… waiting…
The Day the Old Trout went for a swim: One loop and back of the lagoon – 500m, laps in the estuary – 200m
Total Steps taken: 5,761
Difficulty level: intermediate
